In this case, identified gaps in performance management limited the vice president’s ability to improve effectively, measure, control, and manage the supply chain business. The highlighted scenario played an instrumental role in understanding how Business Intelligence influences daily operations to enhance business performance. I liked the author’s ability to use diagrams to explain the use of performance scorecards to present performance variance.
