Purpose

The purpose of this discussion is to explore journal publication as a means of dissemination. Publishing in a Peer-reviewed Journal

I intend to post my manuscript in PubMed, which publishes biomedical research and life sciences with over 35 million citations and abstracts, including studies similar to the DNP project topic (National Library of Medicine, n.d.). PubMed has instructions for authors, including requiring texts not to exceed 4500 words. Authors should follow the format provided by the journal for their manuscripts. The manuscript’s structure includes the Title page, an abstract that should not exceed 150 words, an introduction that concisely describes the purpose and rationale of the study, materials and methods, results, discussions, acknowledgments, and references. PubMed is a free resource making it suitable for publishing biomedical research. I intend to publish my manuscript after graduation. I will involve a mentor to support my publishing work. Before then, I will gather more knowledge on publishing a manuscript on PubMed, including the different ways to submit a manuscript. I will also involve networking within my genre, send a query letter, and submit the manuscript for review and publishing. Several challenges to journal publications include peer review system complexity, time spent on article reformatting, and increasing pressure to publish. Networking within my genre to identify publishing agents and mentors that can guide me in publishing my manuscript is the first step in addressing these challenges. Having someone guide me eases the pressure to publish. Evaluation Of Implementation Progress, Successes, and Barriers

Implementing motivational interviewing at the practice site is progressing well. In 85% of participating patients, MI has been used, which is good progress from the previous 60%. The plan is to finish motivational interviewing the rest of the participants in the coming week so that we can progress to data compilation and analysis and results interpretations in the coming weeks. Participant drop-out is still an issue, with one more participant withdrawing from the research due to health issues. Translation Science Model

I selected the IOWA model of project change implementation, serving as a framework for problem identification and intervention implementation. The model has adequately guided project implementation, offering a systematic and application-oriented road map to problem-solving. It is simple, and the steps are easy to understand and follow (Hao, 2019). Additionally, it is feasible for a budget-restricted project.
